Ted to młody, utalentowany wrestler pochodzenia węgierskiego, który na co dzień występuje w rodzimej federacji Hungarian Championship Wrestling. W przeszłości miał okazję kilkukrotnie współpracować z polskimi wrestlerami, aktualnie znajduje się w posiadaniu HCW Revolution Championship.

MyWrestling: Ted dzięki za wywiad. Jak się masz ?

Ted: Dziękuję za możliwość. Mam się dobrze, jak zawsze.

MyWrestling: Dla tych którzy nie znają Twojej osoby, jak opisałbyś siebie?

Ted: Spójrzmy…. Jestem profesjonalnym wrestlerem w Hungarian Championship Wrestling. Jestem pierwszym w historii mistrzem Tag Team :), a także obecnym Revolution Championem. Jestem również dentystą i wykonuje wiele innych rzeczy, ale te rzeczy nie mają znaczenia przed dużą publicznością, więc nie sądzę, że są ważne w tej chwili.

MyWrestling: Porozmawiajmy o twoim dzieciństwie i dojrzewaniu. Czy lubiłeś oglądać wrestling w dzieciństwie czy to zaczęło się znacznie później, oraz kto zainspirował Cię do myślenia o zostaniu wresterem ?

Ted: W trakcie dorastania rzadko oglądałem wrestling, WCW na TNT po tym jak Cartoon Network przestało transmitować. Po jakimś czasie otrzymałem moją pierwszą grę wideo WWE i to tak naprawdę przykuło moją uwagę. Zacząłem oglądać wrestling w internecie i stałem się prawdziwym fanem. Moją największą inspiracją był The Undertaker do momentu powstania HCW na Węgrzech w 2010 roku. Nikt nie myślał o wrestlingu, a tak naprawdę nie myślałem, że uda mi się zostać profesjonalnym wrestlerem. Kiedy HCW zaczęło istnień, to wiedziałem, że chcę tam być.

MyWrestling: Jak wyglądał twój rozwój w treningu wrestlingu? Kto był twoim trenerem? Opowiedz mi o nim.

Ted: W 2010 roku zobaczyłem pierwszy pokaz HCW i od tego momentu postanowiłem, że chcę być jego częścią. Rozpocząłem trening z jedną z pierwszych osób z HCW. Wtedy treningi odbywały się w amatorskiej hali. Trenerami były osoby, które zapoczątkowały HCW, czyli Icarus, Dover, Laszlo Arpad i kilku innych facetów. Od tego czasu HCW doczekało się fajnego Dojo ze sprzętem potrzebnym do treningów, a rekruci mają możliwości do rozwoju o wiele lepsze w każdym aspekcie.

MyWrestling: Dla tych, którzy nie są zaznajomieni z Hungarian Championship Wrestling (HCW), możesz coś powiedzieć na ten temat?

Ted: Jest to pierwsza i jedyna profesjonalna organizacja wrestlingowa na Węgrzech. Uważam, że pojedynki z udziałem więcej niż dwóch przeciwników są kolejnym dodatkiem u nas, a także mamy ciekawe historie. HCW stale się rozwija, rezerwujemy znanych niezależnych wrestlerów, a także wprowadzamy własne talenty.

MyWrestling: W jaki sposób zdobyłeś Revolution Championship?

Ted: Na początku tego roku dowiedzieliśmy się, że nowy tytuł zostanie wprowadzony, a pierwszym mistrzem zostanie zwycięzca turnieju. Na evencie Vendetta odbyły się walki półfinałowe natomiast na Salgótarján odbyła się walki, w której pokonałem Chrisa Dice i zostałem mistrzem. To skrót tej historii.

MyWrestling: Jakie są twoje oczekiwania co do HCW?

Ted: Moje oczekiwania wobec HCW są takie, że zamierzamy ciągle się rozwijać i stać się jedną z najlepszych organizacji w Europie. Ja w HCW zamierzam wspiąć się na sam szczyt, zdobyć więcej tytułów mistrzowskich i mieć okazję zmagać się z niezależnymi wrestlerami z innych krajów.

MyWrestling: Czy wrestling to popularny sport na Węgrzech?

Ted: Niby popularny teraz. W zeszłym roku WWE House Show zawitał do naszego kraju, a ilość odbiorców HCW diametralnie wzrosła. To wszystko jest wynikiem ostatnich świetnych lat. W 2010 roku temat wrestlingu był rzadkością.

MyWrestling: Jak wygląda dzień wolny w twoim wykonaniu? Masz jakieś hobby?

Ted: Cóż gdy nie walczę lub trenuję lub przebywam na siłowni tylko po to, aby lepiej wyglądać to staram się znaleźć czas na granie w gry wideo (głównie gry WWE, więc znowu wrestling), dużo czytam oraz wykonuję różne dodatkowe zajęcia (głównie z innymi wrestlerami).

MyWrestling: Z kim Ci się najlepiej współpracowało w dotychczasowej karierze?

Ted: Powiedziałbym, że bardzo lubiłem współpracę z Nitro, który nawiasem mówiąc był moim pierwszym trenerem, kiedy pojawiłem się w HCW oraz wytrenował takich wrestlerów jak: Ayden Cortez oraz Blake Steamer.

MyWrestling: Co musi zrobić promotor, który jest zainteresowany twoją osobą?

Ted: Napisać do mnie na Facebooku na mój prywatny profil. Sprawdzam go codziennie.

MyWrestling: Jaka jest różnica między wrestlingiem w USA a Węgrami?

Ted: Wieloma rzeczami. Wrestling tam jest bardzo popularny i powszechnie znany, tutaj to coś nowego i coraz więcej osób zdaje sobie sprawę czym tak naprawdę jest wrestling. W Stanach Zjednoczonych mają WWE, a my tu HCW.

MyWrestling: Który wśród europejskich wrestlerów, według Ciebie, zasługuje na miano bycia obserwowanym przez WWE? Oczywiście oprócz Ciebie 😉

Ted: WWE zaprosiło Big Damo oraz Tommy’ego Enda do WWE Performance Center w celu rozpoczęcia szkolenia i usłyszałem, że jest jeszcze kilka osób z Europy, które wkrótce dołączą do nich. Więc teraz jest kolejna szansa na przybycie kolejnej fali wrestlerów europejskich do WWE. Z HCW mógłbym wymienić trzy osoby, które mogłyby dostać szansę od WWE, a są nimi Icarus, Dover oraz Nitro.

MyWrestling: Jakie są twoje oczekiwania wobec HCW ELO Pankráció Show?

Ted: To będzie masakra. Wezmę udział w 4-way no holds barred matchu. Ale oczywiście z pomocą mojej wspaniałej menedżerki – spodziewam się zwycięstwa.

MyWrestling: W Polsce między innymi funkcjonuje organizacja MZW- Maniac Zone Wrestling. Chciałbyś kiedyś wystąpić w Polsce? Czy słyszałeś coś o wrestlingu w Polsce? Czy miałeś kiedykolwiek okazję walczyć z kimś o polskim pochodzeniu?

Ted: Spotkałem się z Donem Roidem zarówno osobiście jak i w ringu, który oczywiście nie pochodzi z Polski, ale mieszka tam i przyniósł wrestling do Polski. W 2012 roku walczyłem w HCW z Jędrusiem Bułecką.

MyWrestling: Czy jest coś co chciałbyś powiedzieć czytelnikom MyWrestling?

Ted: Oglądajcie wrestling, bo to najfajniejsza rzecz na świecie i zachęcam do przybycia na pokazy HCW. Budapeszt oferuje również wiele ciekawych rzeczy, które warto zobaczyć.

MyWrestling: Thank you for interview, Ted How are you?

Ted: Thank you for the opportunity. I’m fine thanks, I always am.

MyWrestling: For those who dont know you how would you describe yourself?

Ted: Let me see… I am a pro wrestler at Hungarian Championship Wrestling. I’m the first ever Tag Team Champion (well, one half :)) and also the current and first ever Revolution Champion. I’m also a dentist and a lot of other stuff but those things I don’t do in front of large audiences so I don’t think those are so important right now.

MyWrestling: Lets talk about your growing up, did you enjoy watching wrestling growing up or did it start much later and is so, who inspired you to think I am going to become a wrestler?

Ted: Growing up I only rarely watched wrestling, WCW on TNT after Cartoon Network went off air. Then some time later I got my first WWE video game and it really grabbed my attention. So I started checking it out on the internet, and became a real fan.
My biggest inspiration was Undertaker but until HCW came to life in 2010 no one in Hungary knew anything about wrestling so there was no possibility and I didn’t really think about becoming a wrestler, only fantasized about it. But when HCW started I knew I wanted to be there.

MyWrestling: How did you get involved with wrestling training, who trained you? Tell me about him.

Ted: I saw the first ever HCW show in 2010 and decided I wanted to be a part of it. I started training among the first people with HCW in the earliest days, when the trainings were held in an amateur wrestling hall. The trainers were the ones that started HCW, Icarus, Dover, Laszlo Arpad and some other guys.
Since then the HCW has a cool Dojo with a ring and training equipment around it and the rookies have a lot better opportunities to grow in every aspect of wrestling.

MyWrestling: For those who are not familiary with the product what is Hungarian Championship Wrestling (HCW) all about?

Ted: It is Hungary’s first ever and only professional wrestling organization. What I think makes it great is that it features intriguing storylines as well besides wrestling so it really makes the matches a lot more than just two or more guys fighting for little or no reason. HCW is constantly growing and booking internationally known independent wrestlers as well as featuring their own talent.

MyWrestling: What is a day off in your performance? Do you have any hobby?

Ted: When I’m not wrestling or training wrestling or being at the gym so that I look good when wrestling, I occasionally manage to make time to play video games (mainly WWE games, so it’s wrestling again :)), tabletop roleplaying games, read and do various social activities (again, mostly with fellow wrestlers).

MyWrestling: For those that have never seen you wrestle what makes you stand out?

Ted: What makes me stand out is my very distinctive character that we invented and built up with my manager/valet, Victoria. Team Fancy is a classy, elegant, intelligent, sophisticated duo of supervillains who can smart out anyone and look good doing it.

 

MyWrestling: Who have you enjoyed working with the most so far in your career?

Ted: I’d say I really liked working with Nitro who by the way I started my training with when I got into wrestling and the young talent of HCW, the likes of Ayden Cortez and Blake Steamer.

MyWrestling: If a promoter is interested in booking you for an appearance how can they reach you?

Ted: On my Facebook profile and Facebook page mainly. I check them daily.

MyWrestling: How did you get Revolution Championship?

Ted: It was announced early this year that a new championship would be introduced and awarded to the winner of a tournament. At Vendetta there were the semifinals and at the Salgótarján show (that’s another city) the final. Which I won against Chris Dice.
That’s the story in short.

MyWrestling: What are your expectations for HCW?

Ted: For HCW my expectations are that it continues to grow and become one of Europe’s best organizations. For myself in HCW of course I expect to climb all the way to the top, earn more championship gold and have the opportunity to wrestle independent wrestlers from other countries as well.

MyWrestling: Is wrestling in Hungary a popular sport?

Ted: It is kind of popular now, yes, the WWE house show last year was sold out and HCW is drawing quite numerous audiences. And this is all the result of the past 6 years, because in 2010 it was a rarity to find anyone who knew anything about wrestling.

MyWrestling: What is the difference between wrestling in the United States/Hungary?

Ted: A lot. Over there wrestling is really popular and universally well known, here it is really a new thing and a lot more people need to be aware of the fact alone that it is a thing. In the US there’s WWE, here in Hungary and mostly in Europe only a few wrestlers and organizations make enough money to be able to do it as a full time job.

MyWrestling: Who amongst europiean wrestlers in your opinion, the most deservst on inteterest from WWE? Of course, apart from you 😉

Ted: Well the WWE just picked up Big Damo and Tommy End, they just started their training in the Performance Center and I heard that there are more to join them soon. So now is a huge opportunity for the next wave of European wrestlers to claim their place on top of Europe and be the next ones to get WWE’s attention. Only from HCW I could list Icarus, Dover and Nitro among others who are really worthy of that attention, but there are even more awesome wrestlers about to break out all over the continent.

MyWrestling: In Poland among others functions organization MZW- Maniac Zone Wrestling. Have you ever would to perform in Poland? Did you hear something about wrestling in Poland? Did you have an occasion to fight with someone who has polish decent?

Ted: I met with Don Roid both personally and in the ring who is of course not of polish descent but resides there and is the one who brought pro wrestling to life in Poland. In 2012 I also wrestled Jedrus Bulecka in HCW.

MyWrestling: What are your expectations for the HCW ELO Pankráció Show?

Ted: It’s gonna be a massacre. I’ll be in a 4-way no holds barred match so it’s gonna be a grinder. But of course – with help of my awesome manager – I expect to win. 🙂

MyWrestling: Is there anything you want to tell readers MyWrestling?

Ted: Keep on watching wrestling because it’s the coolest thing in the world really, and visit HCW’s shows as others have done as well, because they are worth the trip – not to mention Budapest also offers a lot of interesting stuff to see.
